We currently have a range of services in North London, Luton and West Sussex

The Safehouse BD Ltd.’s goal is to provide a high standard of accommodation and supportive environment for residents with multiple needs including challenging behaviours as well as mental health patients including forensic aged between 18 and 65 years.
We are able to take planned and emergency placements. We normally have bedrooms available for specific emergency or short-term / short notice placements.
The Safehouse works closely with care placement teams, community mental health teams, local authority brokerage teams for service users who are suitable for supported living services.
We pride ourselves at the Safehouse on our care delivery, we help and also support vulnerable adults at risk of social exclusion.
The Safehouse BD Ltd.’s main aim is support vulnerable individuals to develop and maintain respect, self-reliance and self-care skills to enable them to make an informed, age-specific decisions concerning their current and future needs and support In order for them to continue to manage and maintain their health and well-being.

As stated we are able to take planned and emergency placements. Ideally for individuals in crisis, planned placements would be preferable, with referrals being received within a short space of time. Nonetheless, we understand that there will be occasions where adults assessed by the Community Mental Health Team will need to be moved at very short notice following an emergency or crisis; therefore, we will not rule out emergency referrals and will aim to respond to them as quickly as possible.
Our team has over 20 years combined experience in social care, substance misuse, supported living, and in mental health. They are experienced in advanced social care, possessing relevant qualifications and substantial experience working in this field.
Our staff provide excellent, positive role models for adults’ we support. The staff have degrees in varying disciplines and have undergone vigorous training in the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
We endeavour to work in collaboration with individuals’ families in order to support them in improving relationships, emotional well-being and actively support them to manage and maintain positive links in their lives.
We also liaise with external agencies to support the work carried out with service users, this includes drug and alcohol services, Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) Services.
We also provide cogent one to one person centred key-working sessions to work around their support needs.

We are aware that, upon admission, some service users may be receiving therapeutic inputs than others following initial assessment or may be identified as requiring therapeutic involvement.
In both instances our service will facilitate that involvement and work closely and in conjunction with any individual providing or co-ordinating a specific treatment or package of therapeutic care.

These can be accessed in consultation with the placing authority to additionally support service users’ needs for such issues as domestic violence, drug and alcohol misuse, bereavement and loss.
Our Supported Living homes are secured by CCTV and staffed 24-hours a day by a member of our highly trained team
The level of support provided will be increased or decreased as required and in consultation with the placing authority to meet individual needs, especially for service users with challenging behaviour, as some may require 1:1 support or 2:1 support 24 hours per day.
